Two-Day Workshop
1-day/All levels
Learn fail safe ways of creating the face you want. Working with Patti's book, of the same title, Patti will show you her tips on placing features then making them more expressive. Techniques taught are placement of features, sculpting a more dimensional head, using colored pencils, water colors and oil paint stiks to add color.
2-Days/All levels
Using my books each person will create their own unique doll. Techniques learned: Mixing and matching body parts; laying out of pattern pieces for best results; Sewing tips for better hands and faces; turning, wiring, stuffing & sculpting hands; drawing and sculpting a face; direct dyeing a cloth body; coloring the face with colored pencils. An optional 3rd day teaches creating fabrics with Heat Transfer Paints; free motion machine work to create clothing and shoes; beadwork.
2-days/All levels
This is a class heavy in design work. Using oil paint sticks, stencils, rubbing plates, all kinds of silk fibers, Tyvek, Angelina, organza, cottons, rubber stamps, paint, dyes, beads, felting attachments and/or needles along with machine work beautiful flat objects are created which can be used on dolls, quilts, wearable’s, journals, etc.
An 18-inch all cloth doll dressed in a combination Art Nouveau and Steampunk. 3-Day workshop for intermediate to advanced doll makers.

3-days/All levels
Working in silk is exciting and rewarding. Combining patterns from two of my books, a beautiful doll is created. During class a simple wire armature is taught, along with creating an Asian face and coloring the face and body with Shiva Paintstiks. Clothing is dyed using several techniques and her corset and pouch are made using felting techniques. Silk cocoons and simple beadwork finish the embellishments on this beautiful doll.

A fun 18-inch all cloth doll with unique steam punk themed clothing. Fun objects such as lock washers, watch parts, safety pins create the steam punk items, and simple beadwork adds to the flair.
The origional doll is Ms. Maddie Hatter. In the class each person can decide which doll they would like to make. The body and face are the same. The clothing is different and both sets of clothing are removable.
