As we approach
the end of 2007 we are excited about the next year. I'm working on a 5th
book. This one will be on flat items - journals, dolls, bookmarks, fans,
accessories - all made with fibers and with a fairy theme. I've added a new
class, so do check out that section of my website. And, I hope to see many
of you who live in the southern California area at our Cosmic Queens Do
Faces day. Having 6 of the top doll designers in one room in one day is
well worth the drive if you live far, and close. |

I'm excited that
my rubber stamps are doing really well. As you know, they are made by Ready
Stamps, a division of the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Every penny I
give Ready Stamps for making my rubber stamps helps keep a disabled person
employed and independent. I have a new offer for those of you thinking
"What would I do with a face rubber stamp?"
How about making
a bookmark? I have a sample of one and when you buy two or more of my
rubber stamps I will send the pattern for the bookmark with your order.
These make terrific gifts. I also think they'd do really well at boutique
sales. The finished bookmark is 8 1/2-inches to 9-inches, depending on the
face stamp you use. The sample doll uses Jilianna's head.
The more stamps
I sell, the more I can have made by Ready Stamps, which keeps very special
people employed. |

There are several
exciting events happening this summer. The Creative Festival
loved our Flat Day on the Silly Side of the Sea so much that
they’ve asked us to do it again at their festival in
Cincinnati, Ohio. Those dates are June 28-30. Go to my
Schedule to see how to contact them. Interweave Press is
sponsoring a new event in Crystal Lake, Illinois called Fiber
and Folk Art Fair. The dates for that are July 20-22, 2007.
I’ll be teaching at both events.
A new cruise is on the
books for February 2008. This one is based on my new book
“Creative Cloth Doll Beading”. Annie Hesse, Dorice Larkin,
Michelle Meinhold and I will be teaching various beading
techniques to use on dolls, journals, quilts, wearables, etc.
You can find more details on the cruise on my Blog. |

My next
book “Creative Cloth Doll Beading” is now available. This fun-filled book
opens new possibilities for creating beaded embellishments for dolls. But,
all the beading techniques in the book can be used on wearables, quilts,
jewelry, etc. The book includes a new doll pattern and chapter’s by Annie
Hesse on bead embroidery and working with crystals by Laura McCabe. Both
top bead artists.
You can
buy a signed copy of the beading book from me. Go to the
BOOKS to order. Or, you can buy it at your local book stores, or
Dollmakers Journey, Joggles, Amazon.com. |

There's a new pattern here at PMC Designs. Jiliana: A 21st Century Boudoir doll. She's 18-inches and designed to sit on a bed, or wherever you want. She's on the last page under Gallery & Shop and Patterns.
My shopping cart

****Important!!!****
The company I've had my shopping cart with is having major problems. It isn't allowing anyone to use credit cards. I'm in the process of looking for another shopping cart company. In the meantime go to:
http://www.joggles.com
http://www.dollmakersjourney.com
http://www.clothdollpatterns.com
These three online stores carry my patterns. I have no idea how long I'll be without a shopping cart that works, but stay tuned. I'll announce it here.

Stargaze Sonja is now available on a CD. After having the CD tested by MAC and PC users she is now ready.
You have two choices. The CD only or the CD and bead kit. She's still available as a paper pattern, but that is more expensive due to the color step photo's. This pattern was a class I taught for years. She was then called "Art Deco Fairy".

It's almost Christmas! Have a really merry one!
I updated a few items on my website. Belinda McDaris is now sold out. I did get a shipment of my current book "Creative Cloth Doll Couture". It is going fast. If you don't have it, it really is excellent. Especially if you want to get into couture for dolls.

Blogs are really catching on. Be sure to check out mine www.pattimedarisculea.typepad.com. The latest on my Blog is how I've altered a tote. It was falling apart but I loved it. Decided to start adding to it. I think you'll like what I did.

The past month has been absolutely fun, fun, fun! So much so I've not updated things here at PMC Designs. Shame on me.
Not much is new except that I have learned heaps about my sewing machine. I've also written a couple articles for magazines. The Winter issue of Quilting Arts has a picture of my Stargaze Memory Tome cover. I talk about which water soluble stabilizers I like. The magazine will be in the mail this next week. It is full of great articles and projects. Be sure to pick up one if you don't subscribe.
Until next time,
Patti

I got a bit ahead of myself when notifying everyone about Stargaze Sonja. I forgot that there are a lot of people out there who would rather buy their own beads. You now have three choices - A paper pattern only, a CD with all instructions and photo's, or the Kit with all the beads. The kit still comes with the paper pattern.
The paper pattern has all the color photo's that the CD does. This makes it easy for those who prefer holding paper in their hands. We try to please here at PMC Designs.

Several people have emailed me telling me they can't find Stargaze Sonja. This is my new pattern and kit. I've created a new category. She's under "Kits". I hope this will make it easier to find her |
