Almost new book

Yesterday the advance copy of my kind of new book arrived.  My publisher decided to create a compilation of my 4 doll making books.  It was hard deciding what chapters to include and which ones to not include.  I wasn't sure how it would look, or if I'd like it.CreativeClothDollCollectionCover

After receiving the book, I have to admit it is more than I thought it would be.  It is truly beautiful.

The book is like a complete textbook on doll making as it takes the reader from a beginning type doll to a more advanced doll.  We've taken the best of each of the books and put them in one volume.

The book is 304 pages, so quite large for this type of book.  It covers several ways of creating faces, bodies, hands, feet, clothing, accessories, and beading.

It is very exciting and I'll be eager to hear what people think of it once it is released.

The release date is in March.  Keep watching by publishers website for the release date.

Also, don't forget to check out my publishers blog.  Lots of fun stuff there.

Hi Patti from Hastings, New Zealand. I’m new to the world of doll making and have just completed my very first doll – a combination of Beth and Lydia from Cloth Doll Workshop. I have called her Ruby. Thought I would let you know that I back ordered your new book in December and was surpirsed, thrilled, and delighted when received it earlier this month. It’s wonderful, and I am already planning my next project.

i just purchased the creative cloth doll collection, i have several books on cloth dolls but none of them are as perfect as this book. it teaches you the a,b, and c’s of the making of dolls, she almost makes it looks so easy, but i know it is not.. i am a huge fan of patti’s. she has brought joy and reason into my life… i am sick and the thought of making these beautiful dolls and giving them to sick children, its really my goal.. its very important to me. although i took sewing in high school lets just say i have been out of high school for about twenty years.. so i am taking a dressmaking course to bring me back to my roots.. i just wanted to say if you ever wanted to make something and just didnt think you could this is the book for you.. i hope to one day take a online class of hers.. to bad i didn’t have this hobby when i lived in london for four years, i really miss london.. it is also mydream place thanks patti again..

    Patti,
I just purchased your video and book (Creative Cloth Doll Collection) they are both awesome. So thorough and full of lots of information. Great great job on this video; it’s great for beginners , intermediate , and advanced students. I’m a doll maker also and can’t wait to share my dolls that I’ve made from your patterns with you. Can’t wait for your next video.

All I wanted to know, are the Doll pattern, which is in the book: Creative Cloth Doll Beading, also in this new Book? I really love that Doll, but just cannot get the “Beading Book” to buy. I have the Books, “Doll Faces and Doll Couture” but just not the “Beading” Book. So, please, tell me that that specific pattern is in the new Book.
Thanks so much for sharing all this with us.

      Hello Berna,
I just found out how to access comments and reply. I’m so sorry for the delay in answering your question about the newer version of my books. Yes, the doll pattern for the body of both the cover doll and the mermaid are in the new book Creative Cloth Doll Collection. Since my publisher decided to no longer print my books they combined most of the first 4 into one large book.
